IF THERE CAN be Tuesday Weld , Wednesday Addams and Sgt. Friday, why not Sunday Rose Kidman Urban , whom Nicole Kidman gave birth to yesterday? That would be Monday. In a statement to the Associated Press, Paul Freundlich, a publicist for Nicole's husband, Keith Urban , said: "Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning, July 7, 2008, in the United States. Sunday Rose Kidman Urban weighed 6 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces. Husband Keith was by Nicole's side and mother and baby are very well."
Urban posted a message on his Web Site that said: "Earlier this morning Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today."
The baby is the first for Nicole and Keith, who married in June 2006. She has two children, Isabella and Connor , from her marriage to Tom Cruise . Nicole recently told Vanity Fair that she had a miscarriage early on in her relationship with Cruise, leading them to adopt. During a concert Saturday in Nashville, Keith said, "I'm going to dedicate a song to my very, very, very, very, very pregnant wife" before singing his hit, "Better Half."
In a recent radio interview in Nashville, Nicole revealed that Keith had been getting hands-on in preparation for the birth by attending Lamaze lessons, saying, "He doesn't know the name [of the classes], but he has been very good at it!"
C-Rod touches all bases
As expected, Alex Rodriguez 's wife, Cynthia , filed for divorce yesterday, calling her husband an adulterer who "emotionally abandoned his wife and children."
And that's nothing compared to what Yankee fans have called him.
"The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband's extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct," Cynthia's petition for dissolution of marriage, filed in the family division of Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, charges.
"The petitioner has exhausted every effort to salvage the marriage of the parties," Cynthia charged. "However, Alex has emotionally abandoned his wife and children and has left her with no choice but to divorce him."
Alex's attorney in Miami, Ira M. Elegant , who is also handling Sha-quille O'Neal 's divorce, said he had not reviewed the divorce petition but added: "As you know, anyone can pay the filing fee and make allegations."
Cynthia has asked for primary custody of children Natasha Alexander , 3, and 2-month-old Ella Alexander , as well as child support and alimony.
"Cynthia has made it very clear to me that she wants to take the high road and protect her children and herself," Cynthia's attorney, Maurice Kutner , said. "She wants to resolve the issues between Alex and herself in an amicable fashion."
The couple has a prenup, which is probably a good thing for Alex. Married in November 2002, they have a $12 million, 6BR house in Coral Gables, and Alex's company has a $7.4 million apartment in NYC at Trump Park Avenue. He made $185.45 million from 2001-7 from baseball and is in the first season of a $275 million, 10-year pact with the Yankees that allows him to earn up to $305 million.
That's almost Rush Limbaugh money.

* Opera legend Joan Sutherland is
recovering well in the rehab section of a Swiss hospital after breaking both legs during a fall at her Swiss home, her agent, David Sigall , said yesterday. "She had an accident while doing the gardening, and somehow managed to break both her legs," he said. "All is well except I'm sure she's not pleased," he added.
* News of the World reports there is
already trouble in Mariah Carey - Nick Canno n paradise. "Things are really bad between them," said an anonymous source of NotW 's Rav Singh . "The honeymoon period was over before it began. Nick's been surprised at just how demanding his wife is."
Mariah? Demanding? Come on.
"He feels like her [servant] and moans she has him waiting on her hand and foot. Of course, they met not long before they decided to get married so there were always going to be things they needed to learn about each other. It appears Nick's learned he doesn't like her very much."
The source added that Nick even had "Mariah" tattooed across his shoulders. "That's a problem."
He could change the M to a P.
* Rav also reports that "Transform-
ers" babe (soon to be "Jennifer's Body" babe) Megan Fox has broken off her engagement to "Beverly Hills 90210's" Brian Austin Green .
The pair was inexplicably together for four years.
* Wise beyond her 22 years is Allentown native Amanda Seyfried , who plays Sophie in the movie version of "Mamma Mia," opening next week.
In an interview that you'll be able to read next week in Yo!, we spoke with Amanda about issues affecting young stars - tabloid scrutiny, body image and the ever-popular (for tween faves) virginity pledge.
"Everybody knows if they've had sex that sex is really important in life," Amanda said. "I don't understand why publicists are making their clients lie for their young fans. Sex is a beautiful thing if you choose to see it as beautiful. Drugs are the problem. That's what screws everyone up." *
