Region's gas prices continue creeping upward

The average price for a gallon of no-lead gas went up by a few cents overnight, at both the local and national levels, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.
The five-county Philadelphia region saw a 2-cent increase, to an average $3.77.
South Jersey's average gas price also went up 2 cents, to $3.61.
At the national level, a 3-cent increase in the average saw the price go to $3.76.
Diesel prices also were up overnight.
The Philadelphia region's average for diesel went up 2 cents overnight to $4.65.
South Jersey's diesel average went up 2 cents overnight to $4.38.
At the national level, the average increased 3 cents overnight to $4.42.
Light, sweet crude oil fell 40 cents to $125.40 in premarket electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, the Associated Press reported.
